- Born
1985 - began making loud sounds on my Mom's old Reel To Reel, mostly feedback and guitar.
1987 - Started to play chords, as I was an impressionable teen!
1990 - modified my High School.
1992 - Ended all formal education, formally!
1993-1994 Began making more "sound" with my guitar rather than "chords".
1995-1996 - Wrote articles for "McJob" 'zine. The editor, Julie Peasley, is featured in Re/Search 'Zines Volume II
1996 - 1997 "Retarded Whore 'Zine"
An anti-work 'zine featuring writing by Jim Goad, Bob Black, Julie Peasley, Jarboe, myself, Hakim Bey, and a few interviews - one with Bob Black on his book "The Abolition of Work".
1996-1997 - "Soundtrack to Retarded Whore"
This was a cassette recording I made to accompany an Anti-Work 'zine I created called "Retarded Whore" This cassette also featured guests on some songs. These guests include BLACKHOUSE, Jarboe, and Chris Seal.
1997 - Acted in a film by David McManus called Todd and the Clowns.
1997 - My friend asked me to play some "soundscape" type stuff for her then upcoming CD called "ANHEDONIAC". This was in 1997... So I did some preparded guitar that you can hear on track 11 of that CD. If you are interested in Jarboe and her music, she has a site at http://www.thelivingjarboe.com
July 1997 - moved to San Francisco Bay Area from Oregon, hoping to make more sounds.
1997/8 "Shale to Shift" was formed between John Blue, Pixie Kitchen and I. We recorded a CD titled "DROMOMANIA". It was inspired by lost and/or abandoned places. On this I play guitar, metal, banjo, piano, and bowed cymbals.
1999 - began solo CD, started to get into film...
January 2000 - I did a song for a Silber Records compilation CD called "ZANN". On the song I play field recordings, guitar, percussive electronic, feedback. More info here: http://www.silbermedia.com
January 2000 - also brought light to an improv between the members of Shale to Shift and 2 members of Mono Pause (Erik Gergis & Mark Gergis). Instruments include guitar, cello, accordian, moroccan violin, xylaphone, tenor and alto saxaphone, drums, dulcimer, etc. Recorded live and put on CD. It is called "LOST TIME - Between Trains".
February 5th, 2000 - Shale to Shift (w/Mark Gergis) live in Oakland at the Port Lite. Video Availablle!!!
April 2001 - "Barbie Love", a provocative 3 minute video using Barbie Dolls as the main characters. Film and soundtrack by me.
May 2001 - Played some internet radio thing in Oakland....
August 2001 - I started my solo CD called "Flowers of Urban Decay". 11 Tracks of prepared guitar, regular guitar, flute, dulcimer, percussion, field recordings, hand-made instruments, bass, loops, and feedback. Each song is basically a soundtrack to a photo of a place or piece of metal.
December 2001 - completed limited edition mini cd (21 minutes) and gave to friends. Instruments were bass, guitar, drums, and my very first electronic music piece made on a computer!
February 23rd, 2002 - Live @ Mills College in Oakland, CA. I played bass, acoustic and electric guitar, and turntables in a piece written by Tim Blue - Video Availablle!
April 27th 2002 - Shale to Shift and "Flowers of Urban Decay" are distributed via Eclipse Records.
May 2002 - I was the "Artist of the Month" at the Parkway Theater for the month of May. See bio here: Artist of the Month May bio. I remained "Artist of the Month" for June as well.
June 2002 - Idea for Rock CD began...
July 2002 - Relocated to Nevada, for no reason really, (and a divorce)...
September 2002 - "Jam Cake" was recorded by "Up to Date" This is my "pop music" vocal debut!
August 2003 - "Frunt'in" by Oz JoNz and myself recorded.
October 2003 - "Halloween" CD EP is completed just in time for Halloween!
December 2003 - Relocated back to Oakland, CA, because Nevada sucks!
January 2004 - "RIOT 00:00", a Pixie Kitchen Production that I play lead guitar on is completed.
April 2004 - "Public / Private" competed.
July 2004 - Voiceover work for various projects.
October 2004 - "Here Some Anywhere There" by Jerry Blue is completed.
April 2005 - "First Try" at Warehouse 1310 - I had a large Barbie photo I took on display. www.warehouse1310.com for more information.
May 2005 - "TV-27" curated by Fred Baptista. I made a video slideshow with music called "Feeding Frenzy". I used media images and people's reactions to the whole Terri Schiavo ordeal...
2006 - Played with friends on various personal recordings, did voiceover work for some slot machines, practiced with my new recording setup. Also I am a guest guitarist on the Porest CD "Tourrists" on a song from that wonderful album!
2007 - Personal soundtrack work to short video footage I took, plans for 2008 release in my head! Also recorded music for Jarboe's Sweet Meat Love & the Holy Cult's upcoming CD. I also launched my own personal home business website for subversive advertising.
January/February 2008 - Played guitar and numerous tracks for Jarboe's "Stream Enterer" CD series #1 and #2.
April/May 2008 - Recorded more tracks for "Stream Enterer #3" for Jarboe.
2009-2010 - various tracks recorded with various people - main focus was my own subversive advertising website.
